Due to recent storm activity, the power was out in the entire neighborhood and beyond, so I arrived around midnight to a dark lobby in a dark building. The night manager let me in, told me about the power situation, checked me in, helped me with my luggage to my room on the third floor, and gave me a flashlight. We had to climb six flights of stairs to get there because, of course, the elevator was without power too. The night manager was very accommodating, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. When I checked out the following morning I was told that there would be no charge for the room, a pleasant surprise. Thank you for that.
